Julia Shamis is a recruiting and career services professional with experience on both sides of the job search and hiring process.  She has worked in corporate HR, recruiting candidates in diverse fields, including IT, engineering, finance, and auction.  

Most recently, she established the Career Services department at a private training center, and served for 8 years as Director of Career Services, delivering comprehensive job search resources and placement assistance to students.

Having partnered with hiring managers to achieve their recruiting goals, Julia has a keen understanding of what they look for and the factors that influence hiring decisions.  She now applies this unique perspective as a career consultant helping job seekers navigate the job search process.  Particularly passionate about motivating young adults to plan for their professional future, she is also a college and high school career speaker and interview coach.
