When I first heard that you could deep fry a turkey, I was like you had me at "deep fry." Juicy on the inside, crispy on the outside - what's not to like?
How about a burnt down house or 3rd degree burns if you don't deep fry the turkey safely?
If you don't know what I mean, watch the informative video from a insurance company below:
If you still HAVE to have deep fried turkey, consider these two options.
1. Carefully follow all the safety instructions that come with a deep frying kit that uses an open flame.
2. Use something like this deep frying appliance which is much safer because it doesn't use an open flame. Hot oil is still dangerous and hot, but if it was me, I'd probably go with this one.
Good luck and Happy Thanksgiving!
